The hospital is approximately 106 miles east of Seattle. According to the 2000 Census, Kittitas County is home to 33,362 people. KVCH is operated by Public Hospital District No. 1, Kittitas County, with a five-member elected Board of Commissioners. KVCH is supported almost exclusively by the revenue generated from our charges for patient services. The District receives approximately $4,300 per year in local tax dollars to support hospital operations. In addition, the residents of Hospital District No. 1 in 1998 approved an $11.5 million bond levy, which is currently funding our major addition and renovation project.
