Community lecture series starts tonight

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Tonight Kittitas Valley Community Hospital begins a four-week community lecture series on health related topics. The one-hour lectures begin at 7:00 p.m. in the hospital’s new second floor conference room and are free to the public.

The first lecture will feature J. Harden Howell, M.D. of the Eye and Ear Clinic discussing hearing loss and ear problems in children and adults.  Through a cooperative agreement between KVCH and the Eye and Ear Clinic of Wenatchee, ear, nose and throat specialist Howell and his partner, Timothy J. Patton, M.D. now see adult and pediatric patients two Fridays a month in the offices of Kittitas Valley Primary Care Associates, 611 S. Chestnut.

“After the strong public interest in our lecture series held in the fall of 2000, we are pleased to be able to again provide meaningful information from experts in the field,” said Eric Jensen, administrator.

Other speakers in the lecture series include:

·        Oct. 30 Richard W. Johnson, MD, How to keep your heart healthy at any age
